Today we have a guest blogger, my oldest granddaughter, Quinn.
Almost from the day I was born, fashion has been a large part of my life. I was the first girl grandchild after four boys, so you can imagine the excitement in my family. Growing up I vividly remember my Gigi dressing me in extravagant outfits that were often custom made or even hand-painted. While this may seem a bit much to most people, it was a calling for Gigi to dress me and she found a lot of enjoyment in doing it.
As I got older and began to acquire my own sense of style, Gigi and I bonded over our love for fashion. Shopping with Miss Maven is no joke, so you must wear a comfy yet stylish pair of shoes and prepare to stay out all day. You can usually find us at local Memphis or Birmingham malls and boutiques or vegging out on the couch, trolling the internet for the next best buy. While we love designer clothing, we are not above finding our statement pieces on sale websites or waiting for them to be marked down. We find great enjoyment in bargain hunting. Gigi has always said, “If it’s on sale and in your size, God meant for you to have it.” Actually, we very rarely buy items at full price unless Gigi says, “Oh, Quinn! That’s something you just can’t live without.”

My friends always ask where I find my clothes and they have become used to the response, “My Gigi got it for me.” Whether I am looking for that special occasion dress or just needing a pick-me-up shopping spree, I can always count on Miss Maven to make me look and feel like a million dollars.
I have also been known to go through her makeup and clothing and “borrow” what I would like to wear myself–just another perk of having a stylish grandma. I am lucky we wear the same size because I can shop in her closet!
I found these things in her closet before I went back to college this fall. Not only are they cute, but the price is also unbeatable. Head to toe from Miss Maven's Closet.
